CSXT Payroll and Hours of Service Enhacements
Wed, 20 Jul 2016 | By Administrator
CSX Payroll and Crew Management are begining implementation of four technology enhancements that simplify payroll and hours of service reporting, as well as training, for Train and Engine employees:
- Payroll Reporting: On August 1, T&E payroll reporting will move from the mainframe to the web.
- Hours of Service Modernization: The FRA Hours of Service screens will also move to the web on August 1. Responsibilities will be expanded, with conductors and locomotive engineers completing HOS reporting.
- Trainees on Tickets: Effective July 16, trainees and qualifying employees in the engineer and trainman crafts will be added to crew trip tickets.
- Training & Qualifying Tool: This new tool, which optimizes training schedules at individual locations and provides advanced weekly schedules for trainees and qualifying employees, goes live on July 15.
What are the benefits of the enhancements?
These improvements make it easier for employees to report their work and get paid. Simplified screens provide friendlier navigation. Real words replace abbreviations and acronyms, unnecessary data is eliminated and new pop-up windows and drop-down menus enable faster and more accurate reporting.
How do I access the new systems?
Payroll and Hours of Service reporting are both available online in the Crew Web system. Simply launch internet explorer, type “crew” in your internet browser address bar and log in with your RACF ID and network password.
The Training & Qualifying Tool is available for managers through Crew Web > Qualifications > Maintenance. T&E trainees and qualifiers can also view their schedules through Crew Web > Qualifications > Search Training Progress.
Where can I find training?
The full training video for Payroll and Hours of Service reporting is available here, or search CSX Tube using keywords “Payroll” or “Hours of Service”.
A 24-hour help desk will be available August 1 and operated for a limited time based on the call volume to answer any technical questions employees have about using the new system. Simply call 1-800-633-2140.
Payment discrepencies surrounding collectively bargained rates should be directed immediately to your Local Chairman.
